MAYOKAGE wayan series

This series originated from the theater project “MAYOKAGE” directed by Chiaki Shinoda.
It is a collaborative work between Takakurakazuki and Ananto Wicaksono, a craftsman and performer of traditional Indonesian shadow puppetry (wayang kulit).
The works reinterpret traditional Indonesian deities, presenting them as a new form of wayang kulit with digital characteristics.
The theatrical work “MAYOKAGE,” directed by Chiaki Shinoda, has been performed multiple times in Tokyo, Kyoto, and other cities.
本シリーズは、舞台演出家・篠田千明による演劇プロジェクト「マヨカゲ」を起点として展開された。インドネシアの影絵人形「wayang kulit」の技師でありパフォーマーでもあるAnanto Wicaksonoと、たかくらかずきによる共同制作作品である。インドネシアの伝統的な神々を再解釈し、デジタル的な側面を取り入れた新たなワヤンとして制作されている。篠田千明の演出による演劇作品「マヨカゲ」は、東京や京都などで複数回上演された。
