Deep Dream is a film created by Takakurakazuki following his selection as an OpenAI Sora Artist Fellow in 2025, produced entirely using Sora. The work overlays the process by which AI learns from and generates cinematic imagery with the relationship between learning and dreaming in the human brain, and is constructed through homages to various film expressions. The film also represents one example of Takakurakazuki’s consistent approach of situating AI-generated expression within the context of Surrealism. The completed work was presented in a limited theatrical screening at Cine Quinto in Shibuya as part of the official OpenAI Sora event Sora Select TOKYO.
『Deep Dream』は、たかくらかずきが 2025年の OpenAI Sora アーティストフェローに選出されたことを受けて制作した、全編にわたり Sora を用いて制作された映像作品である。AIが人類の映画や映像表現を学習し出力するプロセスと、人間の脳内で起こる学習と夢の関係性を重ね合わせ、さまざまな映画表現へのオマージュを通して構成されている。本作は、AIによる生成表現を一貫してシュルレアリスムの文脈と接続して捉える、たかくらの姿勢を示す作品のひとつでもある。完成した作品は、OpenAI Sora の公式イベント「Sora Select TOKYO」にて、渋谷・シネクイントの劇場スクリーンで限定公開された。

Titled How to Make AI Yōkai, the work presents the process of creating AI-generated yōkai through a video-based presentation. In addition, the original source video created for the making-of was also released as a standalone work.
フェローとしての活動の一環として、Sora公式Instagramにてメイキング動画を公開した。本作は「AI妖怪のつくりかた」と題し、AIによって生成された妖怪の制作プロセスを、映像によるプレゼンテーションとしてまとめたものである。あわせて、メイキングのために制作された元となる映像も、一本の作品として公開している。

As part of his activities as an Artist Fellow, Takakurakazuki planned and conducted an official Sora workshop at Hotel Anteroom Kyoto. Serving as the instructor, he introduced participants to methods for creating yōkai using AI, and organized a session in which each participant presented their own yōkai. The workshop was structured in two phases: first, participants developed yōkai concepts and generated images using ChatGPT; second, they created videos based on those images using Sora. Through this process, participants experienced the workflow of AI-based yōkai creation.
フェローとしての活動の一環として、ホテルアンテルーム京都にて Sora 公式ワークショップを企画・実施した。たかくらが講師を務め、参加者にAIを用いた妖怪の制作方法をレクチャーし、各自が制作した妖怪を発表する形式で行われた。ワークショップは二つのフェーズで構成され、①ChatGPTを用いて妖怪の設定を考え、画像を生成する工程、②その画像をもとに Sora で映像を制作する工程を通して、AIによる妖怪制作のプロセスを体験する内容となっている。
